◼️ #MayaNUKUMIZU，b.1982 Japan As the pioneer of the new style “NEW POP,”NUKUMIZU depicts the repetition and substitution of inner self cartoon protagonists to express people living in everyone’s own world and story as the protagonist. Maya NUKIMIZU portrays a world view in rich layers, of trends and darkness, through young girl protagonists in manga with big sparkling eyes and collages of characters and elements. Such a unique sense of danger from her work is as well an affirmation of inner power, which makes NUKUMIZU receive great reviews in the new generation.
She exhibited in many galleries： WISH LESS gallery, Tokyo (2022), REDCAT ROY AND EDNA DISNEY/CALARTS THEATER, Los Angeles (2021), Ten Haaf Projects, Amsterdam (2018), It must be your sexy way，AKI Gallery，Taipei (2010、HETA-UMA，Musée International des Arts Modestes・『Mangaro』friche la belle de mai，France (2014).
